Earlier today, a story in?USA Today revealed that Dr. James Andrews,?the Redskins team doctor, was "holding his breath" about the health of Robert Griffin III's injured knee and noted that the rookie quarterback was "still recovering" from an injury he sustained during the regular season.
Well, Andrews fears came true during today's playoff game against the Seahawks. In the fourth quarter, with the Redskins trailing, Griffin tried to reach down and scoop up a loose ball when his knee appeared to just collapse. Griffin III remained on the ground for several minutes and was taken out of the game.
There is no word yet on the severity of the injury, but it did not look good. Here's the video (via Fox Sports)...
